The Keelers
A a play by Valerie Laws directed by Neil Armstrong, and also featuring singer Katie Doherty. Set in a modern Tyneside housing estate, it is a re-working of the legend of the "Selkie", a creature which alternates between seal and human form. The Keelers have put tunes to poems written by the playwright, arranged the music, and will sing the songs along with Katie. Starts a 3-week north east tour at the Sage, Gateshead on Thursday February 7th.
