Just Completed : SELKIE tour in February 2008.
The Keelers were involved in a stage production in the new year, a play by Valerie Laws directed by Neil Armstrong, and also featuring singer Katie Doherty. Set in a modern Tyneside housing estate, it is a re-working of the legend of the "Selkie", a creature which alternates between seal and human form. The tour took in the Sage Gateshead and major theatres from Berwick to York. The Keelers wrote and arranged the music, and sang the songs along with Katie. The music and singing were singled out for praise in several reviews.
